Lost Worlds and Founded Truths | The Forgotten Earth by Brilyn O' Neal

I had the absolute pleasure of participating in the tour for The Forgotten Earth last week, and let me tell you—it was effing amazing. This book is everything I want from a first installment in a high fantasy series: immersive world-building, compelling characters, and high stakes that keep you turning the pages. Honestly, I can’t remember the last time a fantasy debut hooked me this hard!

From the moment we step into this desolate world, the tension is palpable. The setting is haunting—ruined cities, a dying Earth, and monstrous creatures called Claegs that are as terrifying as they sound. And then we have the magic system—botanical powers that could literally bring the world back to life? Yes, please! The stakes feel real, and every twist in the plot keeps the momentum strong.

The characters are another highlight. Willow, armed with dangerous knowledge from forbidden books, is the kind of heroine I love—determined, intelligent, and willing to fight against the odds. Then there’s Liam, a soldier bound by a system that has taken everything from him. Their dynamic? Absolutely gripping. The slow-burn connection between them, paired with the looming threat of the Elite, creates incredible tension. And let’s not forget the sentient house—because that alone makes this book stand out!

If you love dark fantasy with dystopian elements, terrifying creatures, and a magic system unlike anything you’ve seen before, The Forgotten Earth is a must-read. It officially releases on February 5th, so grab your copy and dive in—you won’t regret it. Huge thanks to @QPBookTours and the author for letting me be part of this journey!

🔥 Verdict: An unforgettable fantasy debut that blends magic, survival, and rebellion. Perfection in book form.
